“THE TALE OF ÏONÉ”
Set in the fictional land of Loàga, The Tale of Ïoné is a fantastical reimagining of the Book of Jonah.
The odyssey of Ïoné – the “miserable messenger” – has been told by the people of Loàga for many centuries. It’s thrilling, frightful, outlandish, grave, wondrous… and in this one-man play, a wandering Teller, himself a son of Loàga, tells it for the first time. Maybe in doing so he’ll finally be able to answer the question, Could I ever grow so resentful that I’d rather see myself in hell than another in heaven?
