ABOUT

WHAT WE DO

DAY 6 is a touring theatre troupe that performs rich retellings of enduring stories in any and every community that welcomes us.

WHY WE DO IT

In Only the Lover Sings, Josef Pieper writes:

Man “is” insofar as he “becomes” – not only in his physical reality… In his spiritual reality, too, man is constantly moving on – he is existentially “becoming”… For man, to “be” means to “be on the way” – he cannot be in any other form; man is intrinsically a pilgrim, “not yet arrived”…

The “Sixth Day” is the story of our becoming. The story of our being formed and ensouled. The story of our downfall and our salvation. The story of all that we are and all that we’re called to be, of our tragic falling away from this and our beautiful struggle toward it, of our seeking and our being Sought.

At DAY 6, we seek to foster this becoming – to awaken wonder through the fantastical, and prompt a pursuit of the eternal through the beautiful.
